SOLEIL`
Nicole Fisher a.k.a. "SOLEIL`" was born and raised in East Dry
River Port of Spain. At the age of 12 she moved to Charford Courts with he grandmother. SOLEIL`started impressing her godfather
at the tender age of 6 with the ability to use microphones and sing in front of her family and friends. Coming from a strict
environment that was just the touch of the iceberg. Carnival 1985 she whispered in her grandmother ears on Frederick Street
outside the National Museum saying "One day I will sing on a Brass Truck like David Rudder and Charlie's Roots".
Quickly there after she started to collect mentors on the musical scene
David Rudder for strong voice and lyrical content and Machel Montano for performance drive and crowd initiation. While attended
Mucurapo Junior Secondary School she took part as an MC and Back Up for yearly Carnival Shows. "SOLEIL`" always wanted
to sing calypso and soca but was a bit shy so confided in her Social Studies teacher Mr. Frank Porter and his advice to her
was you can acheive anything you put your mind too. Try until you suceed!
When she left Barataria Secondary Comprehensive School she took part
in Party Time Lyp Sync and become one the best Lyp Syncers Trinidad had to offer. The following year at party Time she re-entered
Sing Competition and placed first in the Local Category singing a Calypso Melody of "Raga Raga (Red Plastic Bag) & "Calypso
Music" (David Rudder). In 1993 Party Time come to an end and she focused on singing ability. She telephoned Uncle Frank owner
of the Mas Camp Pub to verify if there were any Brass Bands that required a Female Vocalist. He indicated that only the band
Jackie Johnson Excel was looking for a Female Vocalist . She immediately telephoned Jackie Johnson had and interview and audition
with their Front Line Singer Mr. Anderson Mc Phie in trinidad and iced the job.
She traveled to and from this beautiful twin island performed in places
like CGA Fete, Soca Monarch after Party, Spectrum, Market Square and a whole bunch of other venues. The band experience was
quite interested and fun after all she was the only lady and youngest member of the band. She then started to work and Citigroup
and went back to school to focus on other goals still not forgetting her real passion entertainment media and singing.
"SOLEIL`" has always
been a leader and inspiration to her his peers and little sisters. She is very goal oriented and a fighter goes after what
she believes in.
Now she is back on the scene not as Nicole Johnson but SOLEIL
her mentor Young King and Composer Singer extradinar Mr. Wayne Modeste a.k.a. "Impulse" has written and produced via Zero
1 Productions in Santa Flora a double antar song "DKEY"
For 2k7 hoping to sing at the Kaiso House and guest appear in many
fetes. Later on in the year god's willing sing a groovy soca and many other musical project will follow.
SOLEIL` is indeed a product of the soil and a true role model for
both the young and old to admire. She has the ability and what it takes to become a familiar one in every household throughout
